Contribution Path and Evolution Trend of Collaborative Combination of Knowledge Subjects to Regional Innovation Under Innovation Ecology:Based on Dynamic Qualitative Comparative Analysis(QCA)Approach
Clarifying how to synergize knowledge subjects and discerning the path of innovation contribution is crucial for improving China's innovation level and enhancing its innovation capacity.Based on case studies and process tracking, fuzzy qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)is utilized to analyze the combination and temporal evolution of knowledge subjects in 29 provinces in China from 2004-2019.Simultaneously,the dynamic qualitative comparative analysis method of different knowledge subjects in multiple provinces is applied to different knowledge entities in various provinces to explore the changes in the contributions of condition configurations over different periods. The results show that:the balanced contribution of diversified and collaborative governance-oriented knowledge entities is a relatively reasonable configuration for promoting regional innovation development. However, during the period of 2004-2019,the innovation contributions of knowledge subjects in 29 provinces experienced fluctuations, and the configuration contributions varied unevenly across different periods. The market-driven model, primarily led by enterprise knowledge subjects, exhibits an integrative dominant trajectory, while the foundational R&D pillar model, primarily led by universities, shows a buffering dominant trajectory.Enterprises and universities have maintained an important position in innovation contribution over the long term, with a relatively stable and concentrated structure of knowledge subject contributions, though a trend toward decentralization has gradually emerged. Therefore,it is necessary to adapt to regional realities and effectively leverage the combined effectiveness of knowledge subjects on the basis of a sound innovation environment,so as to enhance the development of regional innovation.
