Exploring Core Topics and Research Trends in International Neurolinguistics Research through Bibliome-tric Analysis
Neurolinguistics is an interdisciplinary research field.Based on bibliometric records from international journals of neurolin-guistics,we conducted a bibliometric analysis via the R package bibliometrix.Through analysis of author-defined keywords, highly ci-ted authors, highly cited studies, and co-citation networks,we systematically reviewed the core topics in this field. The core research themes involved topics from(psycho)linguistics(e.g.,phonetic,semantic,and syntactic aspect of language,as well as listening, speaking, reading, and writing),cognitive psychology(e.g.,memory,attention,and control),neuroscience(e.g.,language lat-eralization)and rehabilitation and assessment.Additionally,by extracting and analyzing key terms from abstracts across three differ-ent periods,we find that the key terms showing a rising trend were mainly related to new technologies, new types of language disor-ders,new languages, new populations, and new perspectives.
