本文通过利用气象观测站资料,NCEP(National Centers for Environmental Predicition)再分析资料以及宁波S波段双偏振雷达资料,分析了2022年6月24日宁波地区的一次强冰雹过程.结果表明:本次强冰雹过程在弱冷空气和地面辐合共同作用下产生,风暴A和B先以强的对流单体形态移动,在自西向东移动过程中风暴B加强为超级单体,雷达资料具有典型冰雹特征.风暴单体中低层出现三体散射、有界弱回波区,风场辐合,中气旋;中高层回波悬垂,伴随辐散风场.BWER(bounded weak echo region)对应明显ZDR柱(>4 db),对应相关系数低于0.9;风暴中高层有ZDR"冰雹信号"和KDP空洞,低层形成KDP柱(>4.0(°)/km).根据双偏振特征,归纳出本次强冰雹过程的概念模型,给出各种典型特征的水平和垂直位置关系,分析其形成的物理基础.
Dual Polarization Radar Observation and Analysis of a Strong Hail Process in Ningbo on June 24
By using meteorological observation station data,NCEP(National Centers for Environmental Predicition)reanalysis data and Ningbo S-band dual-polarization radar data to analyze a strong hail process in Ningbo on June 24,2022.The results showed that this strong hail process was generated under the combined action of weak cold air and ground convergence.Storms A and B first moved as strong convective cells,and storm B strengthened into a supercell during the movement from west to east.The radar data had typical hail characteristics.Three-body scattering,bounded weak echo areas,wind converged and mesoscale cyclone appeared in the middle and lower layers of the storm cell.BW-ER(bounded weak echo region)corresponded to an obvious ZDR column(>4 db),and the corresponding correlation coefficient was lower than 0.9;there were ZDR"hail signals"and KDP holes in the middle and upper layers of the storm,and KDP columns(>4.0(°)/km)were formed in the lower layer.According to the characteristics of dual polariza-tion,we summarized the conceptual model of this severe hailstorm process,gave the horizontal and vertical positional relationships of various typical features,and analyzed the physical basis for its formation.
