Acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease(AHPND)of Litopenaeus vannamei caused by Vibrio parahaemo-lyticus is one of the most harmful disease in shrimp culture,but there is a lack of effective treatments to investigate the therapeutic effect of Gandan oral liquid on AHPND of Litopenaeus vannamei,6 different doses(0.5,1.0,2.0,3.0,4.0,5.0 mL/kg feed)were administered to shrimp after being artificially infected with Vibrio parahemolyticus for 4 h.After one week of continuous administration,the mortality,histopathology of hepatopancreas and biochemical parame-ters of hemolymph of shrimp were investigated.The results showed feeding Gandan oral liquid with 2.0-5.0 mL/kg feed could improve the damage of hepatopancreas cells,and significantly reduce the increase of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)contents caused by Vibrio paraholyticus infection(P<0.05),and thus reduce the mortality of shrimp.Conclusion:Gandan oral liquid can be used to treat AHPND of shrimp caused by Vibrio paraholyticus infection.
