Numerical Simulation of Three-dimensional Ocean Hydrodynamic Characteristics in Yazhou Bay
It is of great practical significance for the construction of coastal zone and the sustainable development of so-cial economy to thoroughly grasp the hydrodynamic variation law of Yazhou Bay.Based on Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Model(finite-volume coastal ocean model,FVCOM),a high-resolution three-dimensional hydrodynamic numerical model of YZB is established to study the distribution characteristics and variation rules of tidal level, tidal current and residual current in this area the unstructured grid. The results show that the tidal current type in the sea area of YZB is generally irregular all-day tide, and the near-shore tidal current shows obvious reciprocating movement. The flow ve-locity on both sides of YZB is obviously greater than that in the middle.During spring tide, the high tide time is about twice that of low tide time, the maximum flow velocity is about 2.2 m/s,and the maximum tidal range is about 1.5 m.The overall residual current in the sea area of YZB is biased to the northwest direction, and the circulation phenome-non appears in the west area causing siltation, which is affected by the prominent shorelines. There are stagnation points on the eastern side of the arc in the bay, which is easy to cause siltation.
