Mechanical Performance Analysis of Bolted Steel Joints for New Prefabricated Railway Beam Steel Support Piers
Based on the design and optimization of traditional concrete structure railway general temporary support piers,a new type of prefabricated bolted steel box girder structure for railway general temporary support piers is proposed.Compared with traditional railway temporary support piers, this new structure has the advantages of simple factory processing, reduced construction cycle, reusable use,and high economic benefits,it can be widely used for the installation of temporary beam piers during the construction of underpass railway track launching. The new type of railway beam support pier adopts a bolted assembly structure, and as a key load-bearing node of the overall structure, the safety and reliability of the bolted connection are crucial. Therefore, this study established an ABAQUS finite element model to conduct nonlinear and failure mode analysis of its overall structure and bolted joints at its segments. The analysis results indicate that the new prefabricated steel structure has no overall instability of the beam support pier, and the overall performance of the structure is intact. The stress characteristics of bolted joints are that the bottom plate bolt holes bear the main load in the elastic section, and after the bottom bolt holes reach plasticity, the side plate bolt holes begin to bear the main load. Finally, both the bottom plate and side plate bolt holes undergo shear failure. When designing,it should be considered to strengthen the bolted connection parts of the bottom plate and side plate, and appropriately improve their ability to resist punching and cutting damage.
