Research on the Paths of Digitalization Empowering International Communication of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
[Research purpose]As a major national development strategy,the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has attracted great attention from the international community since it was proposed.The image of the area has been well presented and constructed by China's mainstream media.However,the development of Internet and social media has made the international communication channels more complex,and the communication efficiency of the mainstream media has decreased.Against the strategic background of construction of the era,it will better promote its high-quality development using digital technology to promote capacity building of international communication.[Research method]By studying the theories and literature related to digital empowerment and international communication,and combining digital empowerment with international communication of the area,this article conducts a survey research of overseas Chinese in Europe and America by using online questionnaires,and also identifies the current situation and existing problems of international communication of that area.[Research conclusion]Based on the survey findings and combined with the development status of digital technology,effective paths for digital empowerment to strengthen international communication of the area are proposed from the following six aspects:establishing a digital mindset for international communication and tilting communication resources towards digital development;integrating communication information through digital technology to clarify the international image positioning of the area;using big data technology to focus on the target audience and achieve precise communication;promoting the digital generation and transformation of advantageous resources of the area;expanding international communication channels through various digital media platforms;forming a diversified communication entity led by the government,involving non-governmental organizations and the public.
