Promoting"Good Governance"with"Digital Intelligence":Challenges and Responses of AI Intervention in Democratic Politics
Digitalization is an inevitable trend in the future development of democratic politics.Artificial In-telligence(AI),as the most cutting-edge technology representative at present,not only promotes a qualitative change in the field of democratic politics,but also poses many risks and challenges to democratic practice and political activities,including the proliferation of false information and negative public opinion,the challenge to the status of the public in democratic political decision-making,and the growing difficulty of governance con-cerning democratic politics of the government.The causes for the above risks and challenges mainly lie in the following aspects.The algorithm black box releases negative forces hidden in political information,data uncer-tainty becomes a hidden danger affecting political decision-making,and the natural profit-seeking and expan-sionary nature of capital views technology as a value-added tool.To ensure the decent development of Artificial Intelligence in the field of democratic politics,we should alleviate corresponding political dilemmas and challen-ges by building a comprehensive data protection and risk prevention mechanism,promoting algorithmic power balance,and improving public digital literacy,etc.,so as to achieve a positive interaction between intelligent technology and democratic politics and achieve a beautiful vision of promoting"good governance"through"dig-ital intelligence".
