Normatization of Academic Criticism:A Discussion on the Construction of the Rules of Academic Criticism in Jurisprudence
Academic criticism is an indispensable and important means for academic prosperity and devel-opment.To avoid alienation of academic criticism,the rules of academic criticism in China should be construc-ted as soon as possible.The sixth part of The Academic Standards for Philosophy and Social Science Research in Colleges and Universities(for Trial Implementation)formulated by the Ministry of Education stipulates the"Aca-demic Criticism Standards",which has been of the normative significance for academic criticism rules.Howev-er,there are only two provisions on academic criticism in the"norms",and the rules are rough and simple,making it difficult to provide operable rules for academic criticism.Compared with the academic criticism of oth-er disciplines,the academic criticism of jurisprudence should be more rigorous and convincing.Academic criti-cism of jurisprudence should adhere to higher academic criticism standards and academic norms.Jurisprudence is a rational science,so its academic criticism should emphasize rationality.In the construction of academic criticism rules,The Chicago Manual of Style of the United States of America is worthy of reference,as it pro-vides more detailed content and imposes normative requirements on researchers and editors alike.Law journals should play a guiding role,develop the spirit of academic criticism and take the lead in establishing academic criticism rules with universal applicability.
