Problem Classification and Insights of Groundwater Pollution Risk Investigation for Key Soil Pollution Supervision Units in Yunnan Province
The groundwater pollution risk associated with key soil pollution supervision units is one of the ecolog-ical environmental issues that has recently garnered significant public attention. However,China currently lacks typical cases specifically targeting investigating groundwater pollution risks in such units.Using Yunnan Province as an example, this study conducts on-site investigations of groundwater pollution risks in 146 key soil pollution supervision units across five batches announced in the province. The analysis summarizes the groundwater pollu-tion risks associated with hazardous waste storage areas, toxic and dangerous substance storage tanks, general solid waste storage areas, pollution control facilities, slag heaps, tailings ponds, and production areas.Based on this analysis, the study proposes targeted groundwater pollution risk prevention and control strategies, including strengthening the supervision of groundwater pollution prevention, improving groundwater pollution control meas-ures,accelerating the construction of groundwater monitoring wells, and tracing the sources of groundwater quali-ty exceedances. The results of this study can provide references and guidance for other provinces in China to con-duct groundwater pollution risk prevention and control in key soil pollution supervision units.
