The Cultivation Mode of Science Communication Talents in America:A Case Study of Department of Life Science Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
In this article, the science communication talents cultivation modes at the Department of Life Sciences Communication, university of Wisconsin-Madison are studied. The analysis framework includes the cultivation goals, curriculum settings, the faculty and the quality evaluation. The bachelor degree program, thesis masters degree program, course-based masters degree program and joint Ph.D. program in mass communications (major and minor) are analyzed through the analysis framework. Especially the difference between the five cultivation goals,the bachelor degree curriculum settings, the two master programs and the quality evaluation of joint Ph.D. degree program are analyzed in detail. These five cultivation modes are highly centered on their different cultivation goals with rigid quality evaluation system.
