Advances in self-assembling peptides and applications in dental tissue repair
Self-assembling peptides, characterized by specific amino acid sequences and structures, can harness internal free energy under certain conditions to spontaneously assemble into nanostructures with enhanced physicochemical stability. This technology has been widely applied in the fields of tissue engineering, cancer therapy, and antibacterial applications, and it has demonstrated sig-nificant potential in the repair of dental tissues. This review summarizes the assembly mechanisms, morphologies, and applications of self-assembling peptides in dental tissue repair, discusses key points in peptide design, and outlines the challenges and future direc-tions in this field.
