Advancement of Dental Stem Cells-derived Exosomes in Periodontal Tissue Regeneration
Periodontitis is a common oral disease affecting the health and quality of life.Achieving satisfactory re-generation of periodontal tissue structure and function to preserve more teeth is the goal of treatment.Exosomes are nano vesicles containing a variety of biologically active substances, which can participate in intercellular information exchange and material transfer upon cellular uptake. The unique tissue specificity of dental stem cells makes the ex-osomes derived from them one of the hot spots in periodontal tissue regeneration. This paper reviews the latest pro-gress of exosomes derived from dental stem cells in periodontal tissue regeneration, with a view to provide new ideas for periodontitis-related research.
