Maxillary First Molar with C-shaped Palatal Root Canal and Furcal Enamel Pearl:A Case Report
For maxillary first molar, the incidence of C-shaped root canals was only 0.12%,and the incidence of enamel pearls was 2.68%.Therefore,the presence of both anatomical structures was rarer. Here we report a re-treatment case of maxillary first molar with C-shaped palatal root canal(Vertucci Ⅷ,3-3)and furcal enamel pearl. It is suggested that using dental operating microscope combined with CBCT can detect structural abnormalities and avoid missing the root canal.
