Neodymium(Nd)is a light rare earth element with 7 stable isotopes. In recent years, with the development of mass spectrometry analytical techniques and chemical separation methods, stable Nd isotope geochemistry has become one important studying fields of geochemistry. This paper provides a systematic summary of current studies of stable Nd isotope geochemistry, including:the geochemical properties of Nd;analytical techniques including the chemical separation, mass spectrometry, and mass-dependent fractionation calibration for Nd isotopes;stable Nd isotope compositions of chondrite, silicate earth, and other reservoirs;the application of stable Nd isotopes for studying geological processes, including the magmatic evolution and low-temperature geological processes, and cosmochemistry. At present, the stable Nd isotope geochemistry mainly focuses on studying its analytical methods and characteristics of natural reservoirs. In the future, the stable Nd isotope geochemistry will be widely applied in the earth and planetary sciences.
