A Small-palette Model of Constitutive Russellian Panpsychism
Constitutive Russellian panpsychism(CRP)is currently the most important mind-body theory paradigm to replace standard physicalism and dualism, but it is facing a great threat from the combination problem.Among them, the palette problem refers to the fact that if CRP is true,we can only expect a few types of microqualities,so how can this limited palette of microqualities combine to yield the vast array of macroqualities? In fact, the argu-ment for the palette problem is dubious, and it does not disprove CRP a priori. There are multiple lines of re-sponse,but only the small-palette solutions of combinatorial theory are compatible with CRP.The phenomenal blending solution proposed by L.Roelofs points out the direction for us to solve the palette problem, but the small-palette scheme she constructed is not ideal. We can add some rules about the transformation and sharing of expe-rience to the phenomenon blending strategy to construct a small palette model for CRP to avoid the palette problem.
