The Change of Female Medical Concept under the Influence of Modern Western Medicine——Based on the Investigation of New Medical Man and Other Publications
Female's medical knowledge and practice of diagnosis and treatment are the important contents of the eastward spreading of Western learning in modem times.Their spread in China has greatly impacted the medical system of the traditional society and the medical concept of the female group.The article combs the newspapers and periodicals such as New Medical Man.Based on the analysis of the changes in medical concepts regarding women's body,physiology,and diagnosis and treatment in modern times,this paper examines how intellectual women have made outstanding contributions to the development of modern Chinese medical undertakings such as maternal and infant science,particularly in the field of medical education and healthcare profession.Retrospecting this period of history will help to understand the interactive relationship between modern knowledge dissemination and conceptual change.
