The Dual Theoretical Perspective on the Philosophical Foundation of"Well-Ordered Science"
Well-ordered science is an idealized solution for the efficient operation of science practice governance, and the discussion of its philosophical foundation aims to demonstrate that how science is well-ordered.Science practice embodies the social and historical situating, with multiple agents involved, forming a heterogeneous and complex network space of relationships. The delineation of scientific goals and scientific progress is influenced and shaped by this context.Based on the explanatory dimension of generative logic, this article argues that the philo-sophical foundation of"well-ordered science"is reflected in the dual theoretical perspectives, namely the scale of the epistemic normativity and an idealized vision of the democratization of science. These dual perspectives run par-allel in the argumentation, have their respective discourse spaces, and ultimately converge in the theoretical expres-sion of"how science is well-ordered".In the end,the article evaluates the new picture of philosophy of science shaped by"well-ordered science".
