The problem of inconsistent models arises from inconsistent or incompatible representations of the same target system by different models.Proponents of scientific perspectivism argue that the problem can be dissolved by treating modelling and representations as perspectival. However, this strategy has been refuted by actual cases, and due to the focus on the defense of realism,it has failed to adequately respond to the epistemological or methodologi-cal challenges raised by inconsistent models.Perspectivism continues to play a crucial role, with methodologies such as tracking perspectives, unifying perspectives, and cross-perspective analysis being possible strategies to address this challenge.
