The concept of modernization is polysemous and often used interchangeably;science and technology is an important means to achieve modernization.There are still debates about the scientific revolution and the technologi-cal revolution.The existence of scientific and technological revolution in Japan only has the relative significance.Science and technology has significant efficacy in the progress of Japanese modernization,demonstrating important functions and roles.Reflecting on Japanese science and technology and its efficacy in Japanese modernization has positive inspiration and reference value for promoting the construction of Chinese modernization through scientific and technological innovation.
