Antifatigue Effects of Hericium erinaceus Polysaccharide Using a Metabolomics Technique Based on Gas Chromatography-mass Spectrometry
Hericium erinaceus is a valuable medicinal and edible macrofungus, which has anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,and im-munity-increasing effects.Gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS)metabolomics was used to investigate the anti-fatigue effect and mechanism interpretation of Hericium erinaceus polysaccharide on rat negative gravity exhaustion swimming model. The rats were randomly divided into 6 groups(blank group, model group,3 experimental groups with low, medium and high doses of Hericium erina-ceus polysaccharides, and positive control group),with 6 rats in each group. After continuous gastric gavage for 21 days,GC-MS tech-nology was used to analyze metabolites in the serum of rats in each group, and the differential metabolite information was obtained by mul-tivariate statistical analysis, and the anti-fatigue effect of metabolic pathway was constructed to explain. The results show that the swim-ming time of rats in the high-dose group of Hericium erinaceus polysaccharide is significantly longer than that in the model group. The metabolic profile of rats in the dosing group is close to that of the blank group, showing certain anti-fatigue effects. The differential metab-olites in serum 24 are identified as related to the negative gravity exhaustion swimming model, involving three major metabolic pathways:linoleic acid metabolism, glycerol metabolism, phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis. It is hypothesized that Hericium eri-naceus polysaccharides may exert anti-fatigue effects on negative gravity-exhausted swimming model rats by regulating lipid metabolism.
