Time-course Analysis and Dynamic Response of Double-arch Tunnel Blasting:Case of Hagai Tunnel in Gansu Province
Considering the real-life scenarios of a tunnel facing explosion risks from flammable and explosive gases as well as acci-dental vehicle collisions, numerical simulation using finite element software Midas/GTS NX was employed to analyze the influence of forces on a double-arch tunnel near Liulin Town,Zhuoni County,Gansu Province. The analysis focused on both static load and explo-sive equivalent conditions.Displacement, velocity, acceleration, stress time history analysis, and response research were conducted for the surrounding rock and lining of the tunnel. The results indicate that during an explosion event, the transverse and radial effects of stress shock waves and reflected shock waves are most significant. When these effects exceed a certain threshold value, local shear failure or spalling failure may occur in the tunnel.Due to the presence of reflected waves, multiple peaks in velocity and acceleration are observed in both surrounding rock and lining materials with more severe structural damage closer to the location of explosion source.Additionally, there is an evident concentration area showing tensile and compressive strength within the tunnel along with significant stress response on the blasting surface.
