Influence of Particle Parameters on Erosion Wear of Inclined Tandem Bend
In order to study the influence of particle parameters on the erosion wear of inclined tandem elbows, the influence of particle flow rate, main erosion area and erosion morphology of the two bends was analyzed by discrete phase model(DPM)by taking the S-type tandem bend with an inclination of 60° as the research object, and the erosion wear of the two bends was compared. The results show that the particle velocity has the greatest influence on the erosion wear of the elbow, which shows an exponential relationship. The influence of particle diameter on elbow 2 is greater than that of elbow 1.The wear of Elbow 2 increases first and then decreases with the increase of particle diameter. When the particle diameter increases to 250 μm,the erosion wear of Elbow 1 is greater than that of elbow 2.Particle mass velocity has little influence on the erosion wear of the pipe. With the increase of particle mass velocity, the erosion rate increases slowly. It can be seen that in order to increase the service life of the bend and reduce the erosion and wear of the elbow, attention should be paid to controlling the fluid flow rate when using.
