Operation Safety Analysis of Long Rail Transport Vehicle with Extremely Small Radius Curves
Due to the combined effect of the extremely small radius of the track curve and the reaction forces exerted on the vehicle as the long rails pass through the curve section. The operation safety of long rail transport vehicles is poor when long rails are carried through an extremely small radius with a radius R of 65 m.In order to ensure the safe operation of the designed long rail transport vehi-cle during track operations on the curve section.First,a theoretical analysis of the curve passing performance of the long rail transport vehicle was presented. Then, the reaction force of the vehicle caused by the bending deformation of the long rail when it passed through the curve section was calculated. The dynamic simulation model of the long rail transport vehicle was established, and the operation safety indicators for a long rail transport vehicle during low-speed dynamic passage through a curve section, both with and without a load, were calculated. The safety evaluation was carried out according to Evaluation and Testing Methods for Dynamic Performance of Railway Special Vehicles and Track Machinery(GB/T 17426-1998)after superimposing the reaction force. Finally, the theoretical calculation and simulation analysis were verified by a real vehicle test. The results show that the designed long rail vehicle has the ability to pass through the curve section with an extremely small radius of R65 m,and its limit speed under heavy load conditions is higher than that under no load conditions.Additionally, the long rail transport vehicle exhibits excellent safety performance while dy-namically traversing the curve section at speeds ranging from 5 to 15 km/h,both with and without a load.It also maintains a sufficient safety margin, meeting the speed requirements for practical rail operations.
