Numerical Simulation and Analysis of Random Wind-Wave Joint Propagation
The simultaneous propagation of ocean winds and waves is accompanied by significant mutual coupling. In order to meet the numerical simulation requirements of the synchronized propagation of ocean random winds and random waves,a numerical simulation method for joint propagation of pulsating wind and random waves was proposed based on the programming development platform MATLAB and the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)software platform Fluent.Using this numerical method,a numerical wave flume for random wind-wave joint propagation was constructed, and the numerical simulation results of random wind, random waves, and random wind-wave joint propagation in the numerical wave flume were calculated and verified. The results show that the numerical simulation of pulsating wind speed matches well with the theoretical calculation of pulsating wind speed,as well as the numerical simulation of random waves matches well with the theoretical calculation of random waves. The established numerical wind-wave flume for random wind-wave joint propagation has reliability and applicability in the numerical simulation of synchronized propagation of random winds and random waves. The research provides a platform foundation for the study of the coupled effects of wind and waves on offshore wind and wave environment elements and the wind-wave joint action of marine engineering structures.
