Mechanical Properties of Composite Adhesively Bonded Joints under Multiple Loading Conditions
In order to study the static and dynamic mechanical responses and failure modes of composite adhesively joints under various loading conditions,single-lap adhesively joints were used as the research object, and CFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastic)and aluminum alloy were used as substrates.Flexible polyurethane adhesive was used as the connecting material, and quasi-static tensile test, dynamic tensile test,quasi-static three-point bending test and out-of-plane impact test were carried out on the joint. The effects of loading conditions and substrate materials on the mechanical properties of adhesively joints were comparatively analyzed. The results show that the adhesively joint has a significant strain rate effect, and the substrate material properties will affect the static and dynamic mechanical properties of the adhesively joint.
