National Trails Route Selection Method Based on Landscape Convergence Site Identification
The establishment of National Trails is one way to protect and utilize corridors. In order to protect linear resources and improve China's National Trails system,a research method of'landscape convergence point-walking corridor-important corridor'was proposed.By constructing a comprehensive evaluation index for the suitability of National Trails, the suitable construction areas for Na-tional Trails was analyzed, and the minimum cumulative resistance(MCR)and gravity model to select potential routes for National Trails were set up.Finally,a comprehensive analysis of the relevant routes was conducted to determine the National Trails route selec-tion.The results of the empirical study in Shandong Province, for example, show that 41 sections of National Trails with a total length of about 2 200 km are selected in Shandong Province, crossing natural landscapes such as wetlands, mountains and hills, plains, oceans, and National Nature Reserves,as well as cultural heritages such as man-made canals, humanistic landscapes, and historical villages. The trails highlight the unique cultural and ecological pattern of Shandong Province, and the integration and mosaic of ecologi-cal diversity and cultural diversity.
