Exploration of Exhibition Strategies of College Museums Serving Science and Engineering Teaching and Learning—A Case Study of the'Material&Imagination'Exhibition at Southern University of Science and Technology
This article takes the"Material&Imagination"exhibition jointly planned by the Southern University of Science and Technology Museums and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering as a case study,exploring the strategies of university museums in exhibiting science and engineering for education.In terms of exhibition philosophy,the SUSTech Museums adheres to the philosophy of"Science and Technology+"and"Linkage·Co-creation",adopts a"professor"curator cooperation model,uses the exhibition hall as a platform,and invites science and engineering faculties and professors to participate.In terms of exhibition planning,the strategy of using the exhibition content of a panoramic view of the subject,the combination of rationality and art in the exhibition text,and the combination of science and technology and art in the form of the exhibition is adopted for the purpose of popularizing the subject;in terms of exhibition activities,strategies to attract wide attention from teachers and students,expand channels for student and professor communication,and build platforms for student and corporate communication are adopted.The combination of these strategies provides the audience with an overall understanding of materials science,stimulates their interest in materials science and technology and its applications,and achieves teaching objectives.
