From the perspective of the inherent relationship between nation,nationalism,and techno-nationalism,techno-national-ism is the infiltration and manifestation of nationalist trends in technological activities.Its essential feature is that specific nation-state,in pursuit of maintaining their technological independence or leading position,require their technological activities to follow the principle of putting national interests first,emphasizing the distinction between"self-technology"and"other-technology".Techno-nationalism includes three aspects of emotions,theory and policy.Taking purpose-means as a parameter,the contemporary western techno-nationalism can be divided into four basic types:monopolistic-radical techno-nationalism,monopolistic-moderate techno-nationalism,self-interest-radical techno-nationalism,and self-interest-moderate techno-nationalism,which derive from dif-ferent theoretical,practical,and institutional foundations.
