Technological innovation serves as a crucial engine for the high-quality development of regions in the new era and is a key variable driving the coordinated development of regions.Focusing on the collaborative development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,this study discusses the theory,effects,and future directions of technological innovation empowering regional collaboration.Firstly,it reviews the relevant theories of technological innovation empowering region-al collaboration and summarizes the intrinsic essence of technological innovation empowering regional development.Sec-ondly,it combines practical analysis with the era background and current conditions of technological innovation empower-ing regional development,summarizing the temporal path of technological innovation aiding regional development.Final-ly,it explores how the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region can strengthen technological innovation momentum in the next de-cade.The empowerment of regional collaboration through technological innovation is a practical outcome combining inno-vation theory,innovation network theory,and regional cooperation theory.Its essence lies in reshaping the regional factor distribution pattern,expanding regional cooperation channels,optimizing the spatial structure of regional development,and guiding the transition from factor-driven to innovation-driven regional development.Embarking on a new journey,seizing the high ground of technological innovation becomes a necessary requirement to enhance regional competitiveness in response to global challenges,and to seize the opportunities of the times for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese na-tion.The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is a pivotal force in the new journey of building a world-class scientific center and innovation highland.Currently,the policy environment for technological innovation in the region is maturing,the integra-tion of technological elements with production and life is becoming increasingly close,and the empowerment of techno-logical innovation for collaborative development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has achieved remarkable results.However,hidden risks such as weakened regional competitive advantages,imbalanced spatial layout,and declining innova-tion momentum are gradually emerging.Looking ahead to the next decade in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,technologi-cal innovation will be a key lever for achieving high-quality collaborative development.On one hand,it is essential to ac-tively build the Beijing-Xiong'an innovation corridor,deepen the technological cooperation partnership between Beijing and Tianjin,and create new development momentum through regional innovation space.On the other hand,concerted ef-forts are needed to promote the inclusive development of the digital economy,base on reality to advance the diversifica-tion of the digital economy,and coordinate to achieve the standardization of the digital economy.This will drive the three regions of Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei toward common prosperity in the new journey of the digital economy.
