Study on the Manufacturing Enterprises'Digital Empowerment Path from the Perspective of Value Chain Theory
In the era of digital economy,manufacturing enterprises are able to use digital technologies such as big da-ta,cloud computing,artificial intelligence and other digital technologies to trigger changes in various links and optimize enterprise value creation activities,thus conferring high returns to manufacturing enterprises.However,the digital transfor-mation of manufacturing enterprises involves many links and a wide range,and its transformation is difficult and the ef-fect is not optimistic,compared with other industries,there is still a large space for development.Some enterprises believe that digital transformation is the application of digital technology,blindly copying the digital empowerment path of other enterprises,resulting in poor transformation results.There are also some manufacturing enterprises have recognized the im-portance of digital transformation,but due to the fuzzy path of empowerment,which not only cannot recover costs,but al-so face the risk of declining competitiveness.Hidden behind the transformation dilemma is the enterprises'lack of deep understanding of the new value creation logic and their confusion in choosing the transformation path.Therefore,how to realize digital transformation through what kind of empowerment path,and how to create value and achieve performance improvement in the process of empowerment has become a common concern for both academics and manufacturing enter-prises.From the perspective of value chain theory,this study explores the digital empowerment path of manufacturing en-terprises using text mining methods,including the following three steps:First,collecting academic literature,practice cas-es and industry research reports related to the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises to form an evidence tri-angle validation,using Python to transform the text format and achieve data cleaning;Secondly,analyzing the sample data through frequency analysis.According to the results of word frequency analysis combined with the theory of value chain,select the high-frequency words that are closely linked to each link,manually screen the original text collection of each link by means of keyword positioning,and calculate the similarity of the remaining text,so as to realize the text classifica-tion of each link of the value chain.Finally,multi-dimensional scale transformation analysis is used to analyze the sam-ples of each link to reveal the digital empowerment mechanism of each link and organize the full picture of the digital em-powerment path.The results of the study are as follows:First,through the empowerment path of"digital technology-em-powerment strategy-empowerment effect-enterprise performance",enterprises are empowered by digital technology to real-ize efficient resource allocation,product and service innovation,user value co-creation,and ecosystem development,so as to obtain sustainable competitive advantages and promote enterprise digital transformation.Secondly,digital resources can drive the enterprise value chain to transform the logic of value creation,triggering changes in products,services,organiza-tional forms and business processes,achieving continuous optimization of the enterprise value chain,and improving the performance of enterprise digital transformation.Finally,the logic of value creation in each link of the enterprise value chain is different,and the digital capabilities required are different,but it is difficult for a single digital technology to help enterprises achieve the desired goals,so enterprises need to adopt different enabling strategies to promote digital transfor-mation.In the process of transformation,manufacturing enterprises apply different enabling paths to bring about different performance improvements.Enterprises should review their own needs,introduce appropriate digital enabling paths ac-cording to their own development purposes and production mode change needs,or strategically strengthen the correspond-ing enabling capabilities to promote the level of digitalization.
