Application of potential-controlled rapid flotation technology in lead-zinc mine
The potential controlled rapid flotation technology mainly adjusts the slurry potential,which can influence the floatation performances of different minerals,improve the activity of beneficiation agents,increase flotation speed,shorten flotation time,and achieve the goals of rapid separation flotation of useful minerals and gangue minerals.This paper taking the industrial application of Dongtangzi lead-zinc mine in Shaanxi as an example.Before the application of potential controlled rapid flotation technology,a beneficiation plant with a processing capacity of 1 000 t/d was used,which consists of two independent grinding and flotation series for production,resulting in high beneficiation costs,besides the processing system adopts heavy pulling and pressing method,while the quality of lead concentrate is poor and there is still room for improvement of the lead-zinc recovery rate.In order to effectively reduce the cost of mineral processing,and improve the quality of lead concentrate and lead-zinc recovery rate,the mine has introduced potential controlled rapid flotation technology and carried out equipment transformation on one of the flotation series to improve its slurry capacity.Then the mine added lime to the ball mill and adjusted the pH value of the slurry to 12.5,therefore the slurry potential canbe decreased and stabilized it at-170 mV.At the same time,flotation reagents such as ethionium nitrogen and Z-l flotation agent were applied,and the corresponding reagent system was adjusted and optimized for industrial application.The industrial application was very successful,achieving the goal of rapid separation and flotation of lead and zinc.Under the same production capacity,the flotation operation was changed from two series to a single series,and the flotation time was shortened from 77.91 min to 47.66 min.The results are also very noble,the main grade of lead concentrate increased from 56%to 65%;the lead and zinc recovery rates increased by 0.16 and 0.64 percentage respectively;a flotation series has been dismissed,reducing the installed capacity by 400 kW,and reduce the number of flotation personnel by 8;the reagent costs has been reduced by 2.19 ¥/t.The annual economic benefits of the optimization ocan be over ¥5 million,with considerable economic and social benefits.
