Experimental study on flotation of complex and refractory lithium ore
The composition of a certain lithium mine ore is complex, with multiple types of lithium minerals, mainly spodumene, followed by lepidolite,as well as trace amounts of lithium chlorite, lithium nepheline, and lithium muscovite. Each lithium mineral has different ore characteristics, leading to variations in the recovery methods. This study focuses on the research results of using flotation to recover spodumene. The experimental research results show that after mixing with sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate, calcium chloride to activate spodumene minerals, and oxidized paraffin soap, sulfonated soap, and diesel as a combination collector of spodumene.Under conditions without desliming, spodumene recovery can be achieved through a process flow involving"one-stage roughing-one-stage scavenging-three-stage cleaning".The closed-circuit test can obtain spodumene concentrate with a Li2O grade of 5.08%and a Li2O recovery rate of 62.03%,providing technical insights for further spodumene resource recovery in this mine.
