Composite copper foil current collector of lithium ion battery and preparation method
As an important structure for collecting current and supporting active substances in lithium-ion batteries, current collectors play an important role in the development of high-performance lithium-ion batteries.Compared to traditional copper foil, composite copper foil is a new type of negative collector. Its unique"Cu-polymer-Cu"sandwich structure can significantly reduce the weight of the collector and enhance the mass-energy density of the battery.Additionally, the insulating and flexible polymer interlayer can block the lateral transfer of electrons, mitigating the expansion stress caused by the lithium insertion into the anode during the charging process.Consequently, this improves the safety and cycle performance of the battery. The types of interlayers of composite copper foil are introduced, the advantages of composite copper foil as a negative current collector are reviewed, and typical preparation methods for composite copper foil, such as magnetron sputtering, vacuum evaporation, electroless plating and water electroplating, are summarized. The application prospects of composite current collectors were discussed, and research directions and contents that need to be focused on and strengthened in the future were proposed.
