摘要
帝国是钱穆关于秩序论述的重要反思性论题.他在三个层面提出对帝国的异议.首先是历史层面,钱穆反对以帝国指称传统中国.他结合历史重述,辨析了西方帝国与中国大一统国家在立国形态上的差异.其次是理论层面,钱穆在大一统的视野下理解国家形态问题,以一统与多统的秩序分型替代帝国与民族国家的二分法,尝试提供一个摆脱西方中心主义的比较框架.最后是经世层面,钱穆提出国群主义方略,一面应对中国的民族与文化危机,思考大一统国家的重建;另一面则要求超越世界政治的帝国时代,为天下新生确立现实前提.三者相互交织,贯穿着以大一统反对帝国、以和合性取代支配性的逻辑,构成了较为系统的反帝国论说,为当下超越帝国迷思提供了有益参照.
Abstract
Empire is an important reflexive thesis in Qian Mu's discourse on order.He puts forward his objections at three levels.Firstly,at the historical level,Qian Mu objects to the concept of Chinese Empire,and identifies the differences of the state-building forms between the western empire and the Chinese great unitary state in terms of history.Secondly,at the theoretical level,Qian Mu tries to understand the state forms in the perspective of Grand Unification and replace the classification of empire and nation-state with the typology of yitong and duotong,which is an anti-eurocentric comparative framework.Finally,at the level of statecraft,Qian Mu focuses on the state and society building.On one hand,he hopes to reconstruct the unitary state in order to solve China's national and cultural crisis.On the other hand,he calls for the end of the age of empire and the arrival of the age of tianxia in the world politics.The three levels are intertwined with each other,running through the logic of Grand Unification against empire and harmony againist dominance.As a systematic anti-imperial discourse,Qian Mu's thought provides a mirror to go beyond the myth of empire nowadays.
