张之洞与儒学的近代转型——以《劝学篇》为中心

摘要
《劝学篇》不仅是清末新政的纲领性文件,也是在时代变局中"存中学"的引领性方案.张之洞关于儒学与经学的定位虽以维护圣教为本意,却为儒学与经学之近代转型提供了助力:首先,"学"之视域的开显使得儒学既成为众学之一,又被限定为以治身心为要旨的"内学";其次,在新式学堂中设立的"经学科"或趋于通识化,或趋于专业化,蕴示着儒学之教学与研究的新态势;最后,"中体西用"是张之洞会通中西并消解"西政"对传统政教模式冲击的核心理念,但如何处理与民智等现代价值的关系,成为儒学在后续发展过程中必须直面的议题.
Abstract
Encouraged to Learn is not only a programmatic document for the New Deal in the late Qing dynasty,but also a typical plan for traditional scholars to"preserve Chinese value".How to settle Confucianism and Classics in the New Deal is the core issue of"preserving Chinese value".First of all,Confucianism has become one of the many studies,and it has also been limited to"internal studies".Secondly,the"Classics subjects"set up in the new school tend to be general or specialized,which constitutes a new trend in the teaching and research of Confucianism.Third,"Chinese value is the essence,Western learning is the application"is Zhang Zhidong's concept of dissolving the impact of"Western politics"on the traditional political and religious model,and how to deal with the relationship with modem values has become an important issue that Confucianism should continue to respond.Although Zhang Zhidong's views are all aimed at maintaining Confucianism,but have objectively changed the existence and development direction of it.
