Characterization of gastric juice microbiota in Helicobacter pylori-negative patients with chronic atrophic gastritis
Objective To explore the composition of the gastric juice microbiota in patients with Helicobacter pylori-negative chronic atrophic gastritis(CAGn),and to look for gastric juice microbiota that may be related to the occurrence of CAGn.Methods Forty-eight patients who underwent gastroscopy at the Surgical Endos-copy Center of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University from 2020 to 2021 were selected for the study,includ-ing 21 with Helicobacter pylori-negative chronic non-atrophic gastritis(CNAGn)and 27 with CAGn.Gastric juice samples were collected and the third-generation sequencing of the 16S rRNA was used to detect gastric microbial composition in the two groups. Results The average age of the CAGn group was significantly higher than that of the CNAGn group(52.33±12.20 vs.40.67±7.95,P = 0.000 4).There was no significant difference in the microbial α-and β-diversity and the overall microbiota composition between the two groups. The significance analysis of the differences between the two identified 11 genera having been significantly enriched in the CNAGn group and 2 genera significantly enriched in the CAGn group. Conclusion In this study, the differential non-Helicobacter pylori microbiota of CAGn patients was screened, which may provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of CAGn patients.
