Mechanism and treatment progress of exosomes derived from tumor-associated macrophages in digestive system tumors
Tumor-associated macrophages play a crucial role in the tumor microenvironment by releasing dif-ferent cytokines to facilitate tumor progression. In addation, these macrophages promote tumor proliferation, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis, and enhance drug resistance by transmitting exosomes containing proteins, lipids and various types of ribonucleic acid to tumor cells. This review examined the regulatory effects and molecular mechanisms of tumor-associated macrophage-derived exosomes on digestive system tumors.Addi-tionally,it presents strategies to prevent and treat digestive system tumors based on exosome research,offer-ing new insights into the development of clinical drugs.
