Predictive models for enteral nutrition feeding intolerance in critically ill patients:A scoping review
Objective To conduct a scoping review of predictive models for enteral nutrition feeding intoler-ance in critically ill patients at home and abroad,so as to provide reference for clinical selection, application and future research direction. Methods Focusing on prediction model of enteral nutrition feeding intolerance in critically ill patients,Chinese and English databases were systematically searched.Screening of the litera-ture and extraction of data were independently conducted by two researchers. Results Twelve studies in total were included, consisting of 10 studies on the development of prediction model tools and 2 studies on perfor-mance verification. The overall prediction performance was good, while the risk of bias was high.Age,blood glucose, mechanical ventilation, sedative and analgesic drugs, acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ,intra-abdominal pressure are important factors for predicting enteral nutrition feeding intolerance in criti-cally ill patients. Conclusion There are many studies on the development of risk prediction models for enteral nutrition feeding intolerance in critically ill patients, but the clinical applicability should be clarified through effective verification. The development of feeding intolerance prediction models for critically ill patients with different disease types should be carried out, combined with the information system,so as to real-ize the process, scientific and information screening and management of enteral nutrition feeding intolerance high-risk patients.
