Application and prospects of artificial intelligence techniques in digital wound imaging assessment
With the continuous and deep development of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet, technologies and modes focusing on wound assessment and management have also made in-telligent iterations, and digital wound imaging has achieved certain research results in the fields of diabetic foot, venous ulcer, and surgical wound assessment.Artificial intelligence-based image recognition and seg-mentation systems have enabled convenient, immediate and accurate wound assessment and integrated wound treatment decision support systems.Furthermore, several emerging devices have also applied artificial intelli-gence to achieve accurate visualization of wound structure and tissue composition, resulting in automated three-dimensional measurement of wounds and visual tissue color partitioning, where optical imaging devices based on near-infrared and thermal spectroscopy, among others, have augmented the traditional visual assess-ment.In the future, machine learning or deep learning techniques based on artificial intelligence technologies will incorporate multiple image modalities to provide an accurate and reliable decision support system for wound treatment, thus accelerating the healing process and patient recovery.
