Research progress of microRNA in diabetic kidney disease
Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)as one of the most common microvascular complications of diabe-tes,has become an important cause of end-stage renal disease.MicroRNA(miRNA)is short non-coding RNA with 19~25 base pairs in length that bind to the 3'untranslated region of target mRNA and participate in the epigenetic regulation of downstream signaling molecules.Studies have shown that miRNA can participate in the occurrence and development of DKD and have important value for the prevention, early diagnosis and disease assessment of DKD.In this paper, the relationship between miRNA and DKD and the research prog-ress are reviewed in order to provide reference for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of DKD.
