Advanced progress of antibody engineering in diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases
Antibodies,as the main effector molecules of the immune system,play a crucial role in resisting pathogen infection and disease development.Antibodies not only protect the body from infection by directly neutralizing pathogens,but also serve a variety of immune regulation functions by regulating the activity of immune cells and participating in inflammatory responses.With the deepening research into antibody engi-neering and antibody drugs,engineering antibodies have become one of the important means to treat diseases.The characteristics of specificity and affinity are the basis of antibody biology.Choosing appropriate modifica-tion strategies is an effective way to accelerate the development of new antibody drugs and deal with difficult-to-treat infectious diseases.In order to deepen the understanding of the functional mechanism of antibodies in the immune system,this paper reviewed the progress of antibody engineering in the study of infections and immunity,providing a reference for the development of new disease treating methods.
