A review of advances in nutritional support therapy for acute pancreatitis
Acute pancreatitis is a common digestive system disease, and nutritional support treatment is a basis of the treatment process for patients with it.In patients with mild acute pancreatitis, early oral feeding can shorten hospital stay, decrease hospital costs and reduce complications. If oral feeding is not tolerated, nutritional treatment should be provided within 24-72 hours, and enteral nutrition is the preferred method, which can be administered via gastric or jejunal feeding, depending on digestive tolerance and the presence of intestinal obstruction.Intestinal probiotics can prevent bacterial translocation and pancreatic necrosis infec-tion,and fecal microbiota transplantation provides a new approach for the treatment of acute pancreatitis.
