Impact of pulmonary microbiome on cardiovascular disease
Lung microbes play an important role in human health and disease, pulmonary microorganisms can promote the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases through various mechanisms such as oxidative stress, immune inflammation and complement formation, leading to a deterioration of cardiovascu-lar diseases and even threatening life. This paper reviewed the origin, progress and status quo of pulmonary microorganisms, the composition and main physiological functions of pulmonary microorganisms, and the impact of pulmonary microbial abnormalities on cardiovascular diseases,so as to provide a new theoretical basis for anti-cardiovascular disease strategies based on a regulation of pulmonary microorganisms. It could also provide new therapeutic targets and develop new ideas for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases by centering on the mechanism of pulmonary microorganisms.
