Potential applications of medical bioinformatics in research on high-risk pregnancy
With the advancement of China's"two-children"or"three-children"policies,there has been a sig-nificant increase in the proportion of older(over 35 years old)and high-risk pregnant women, presenting new challenges to maternal safety and pregnancy management. In the era of big data, medical bioinformatics, with its interdisciplinary characteristics, has demonstrated vast potential applications in the field of biomedicine. With continuous innovation and progress in computer technology, bioinformatics is increasingly capable of solving more complex problems, thereby providing robust support for the trend towards precision medicine. Therefore,it is particularly important to enhance interdisciplinary thinking, promote medical-engineering collaboration, and build a team of talents across disciplines. This article aimed at exploring the current status, challenges and future directions of medical bioinformatics in research on high-risk pregnancy under the new demographic situation in China, hoping to introduce fresh perspectives in the care of maternal and infant health.
