The role of multidisciplinary teams in the European trauma care system and suggestions for the construction of trauma centers in China
Severe trauma remains a public health issue with high morbidity and mortality,and its depletion of medical resources and serious burden on society cannot be ignored.With the continuous improvement and development of the European and American trauma treatment systems,as well as the multidisciplinary team treatment model for trauma patients,the success rate of treatment has been much improved.In the process of the construction of domestic trauma centers and establishment of a severe trauma treatment system,further exploration,learning,and improvement are needed to fully leverage the role of interdisciplinary solutions and efficiently carry out on-site,pre-hospital emergency care,transport,and in-hospital treatment.Based on the European and American trauma treatment systems and multidisciplinary team treatment models,this article provided some suggestions for the construction of trauma centers in China.
