Objective To explore the efficacy of dual-rod bridge combined internal fixation system in the treatment of clavicular midshaft fracture. Methods The 63 patients with clavicular midshaft fractures were divided into observa-tion group(treated with dual-rod bridge combined internal fixation system,29 cases)and control group(treated with locking single-plate internal fixation,34 cases).Intraoperative blood loss, surgery time, fracture healing time,postoper-ative complications and shoulder joint mobility were recorded in two groups. The Constant-Murley score was used to e-valuate shoulder joint function recovery. Results All patients were followed up for 12~18 months. The intraoperative blood loss and surgery time in the observation group were more(longer)than those in the control group(P<0.01),while the fracture healing time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The in-cidence rate of postoperative complications had no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Shoulder joint mob-ility and Constant-Murley scores:at 12 weeks after surgery, the observation group were larger than those of the control group(P<0.05),there were no statistical differences between two groups at 1 year after operation(P>0.05).Con-clusions The dual-rod bridge combined internal fixation system has a stronger fixation strength and higher stability in the treatment of clavicular midshaft fractures, allowing for continuous dynamic pressure on the fracture ends to promote fracture healing, and which facilitate early rehabilitation exercise and shoulder joint function recovery for patients.
