Objective To investigate the effect of the eblow closed reduction with arthrography and percutaneous Kir-schner wire fixation in the treatment of humeral lateral condylar fracture in children.Methods The 24 children with humeral lateral condylar fractures were treated by eblow closed reduction with arthrography and percutaneous Kir-schner wire fixation.The situation of fracture healing,complications and elbow recovery were recorded,and Flynn el-bow function score was used to evaluate the efficacy at the last follow-up.Results All children were followed up for 18～24 months.All fractures were healed within 8～16 weeks.There were no complications such as elbow valgus de-formity,ischemic necrosis of the lateral condyle of the humerus,myositis ossificans,ischemic muscle contracture and neurological symptoms.At the last follow-up,in 4 children,the recovery of elbow function was not completely normal,but it did not affect life,the grade of Flynn elbow scores were all good;the elbow function of the other 20 cases was re-stored to the normal level,the grade of Flynn elbow scores were all excellent.Conclusions In the treatment of humeral lateral condylar fracture in children,the eblow closed reduction with arthrography and percutaneous Kirschner wire fixa-tion can clearly show the cartilage composition of distal humerus in children,which is helpful to judge the displacement degree of fracture and the quality of closed reduction,and avoid unnecessary open reduction and complications.
