Objective To investigate the effect of anatomic locking titanium plate and radial blocking plate for treat-ment of distal radius type-C fracture. Methods According to different treatment methods,40 patients with distal radi-us type-C fractures were divided into observation group(treated with anatomic locking titanium plate and radial bloc-king titanium plate,20 cases)and control group(treated with simple distal radius anatomic locking titanium plate,20 cases). The intraoperative reduction condition, intraoperative blood loss, operation time, fracture healing, palmar incli-nation,ulnar deviation and wrist motion were recorded. Results All patients were followed up for 2.5~6 months.During the operation,in the observation group, the broken ends of the fractures were fixed well, there were satisfactory alignment, without displacement of radial bone mass;and in the control group,9 cases had satisfactory fracture reduc-tion and fixation, and 11 cases had different degree of displacement of radial bone mass. There were no statistical differences in the intraoperative blood loss volume and operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The frac-tures of both groups healed within 10~12 weeks. At the last follow-up,there was no statistical difference in palmar in-clination between the two groups(P>0.05),but the ulnar declination, carpal flexion and dorsal extension activity in the observation group were larger than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Anatomical locking titani-um plate and radial blocking titanium plate in the treatment of distal radius type-C fracture are simply operated in fracture reduction during the surgery, and which can effectively reduce the displacement of radial bone mass, and are more conducive to the recovery of wrist joint function.
