Objective To compare the efficacy of clavicular hook plate and lateral clavicular anatomical plate in the treatment of distal clavicular fractures. Methods The 40 patients with distal clavicular fractures were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods, with 20 cases in each group. The patients who received clavicular hook plate treatment were in the control group, and the patients who received lateral clavicular anatomical plate treat-ment were in the observation group. The surgical indicators, fracture healing time, shoulder joint activity and complica-tion incidence rate of the two groups were compared. The Constant-Murley scoring system was used to evaluate the ex-cellent-good rate of shoulder joint function. Results Both groups of patients were followed up for 12~18 months. There were no statistical differences between the two groups in operative time, intraoperative bleeding volume, and hos-pital stay(P>0.05);the fracture healing time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).At the last follow-up,the range of motion of the shoulder joint and the excellent-good rate of shoulder joint function in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05);the incidence rate of compli-cations in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with clavicular hook plate internal fixation, the treatment of distal clavicular fractures with the lateral clavicular anatomical plate can shorten the fracture healing time and improve shoulder joint function, decrease the incidence rate of compli-cations.
